describes the hacking of the TOR secured browser for a period of about five months between February and July of 2014. This editor suspects it was or is still hacked to this day and may have had something to do with the takedown-hacking attack on RMN of that year.

The article mentions the entry and exit nodes or networks, etc., for the hacking attacks. There are several, perhaps three, circuit nodes in the TOR system. The "entry guard" is the first node of the TOR circuit that knows the IP address of the user, thus, when a user is consistently routed to the same network, even when the change identity tool is used, it appears that someone is keeping that user on their watch system. Just because a user is constantly routed first to that same IP doesn't have to indicate spying, but what else would be the reason for it? If it is truly an anonymous browser system one would be routed first through different networks and not always through the same one.

It appears that the TOR browser is still hacked and spied on to this day.

If a user is routed through the same entry IP and then the other nodes in the circuit are different it would appear the user is still caught in the same web. They are still passing through the same entry gate where the watch can occur.

Privacy is the only thing stopping the world class thugs from stealing the entire world.

This editor has donated to TOR project in the past, but, hopefully those folks can come up with a way to ensure that a user is never routed through the same entry gate during the same browsing session. Until the system is fixed it looks like the great intelligence power, as Christopher Story had called it, will continue stealing the entire world out from under us.
