Muhammad Ali, Parkinson, Aspartame Interaction with L-Dopa
Today Parkinson is back in the news with the death of Muhammad
Ali. I thought about him fondly remembering some of his calls years
ago. I suspect his Parkinson developed due to head trauma because of
his boxing career. He found me on the net because of his concern
about aspartame's interaction with Parkinson drugs like L-dopa.
I remember Ali's kindly manner. This was in the 1990's and
interesting to learn he actually helped Senator Orrin Hatch win
re-election in 1988 never knowing it was Hatch who kept aspartame
congressional hearings from happening until 1985, and Hatch accepted
money from the aspartame's manufacturer, at that time
Monsanto. President Reagan was doing a favor for Donald Rumsfeld
when he worked for G. D. Searle, original manufacturer, by writing an
executive order preventing FDA Commissioner Dr. Jeri Goyan from
signing the revoked petition for aspartame into law. Dr. M. Alemany
did the Trocho Study which showed the formaldehyde converted from the
free methyl alcohol embalms living tissue and damages DNA. He told
me in Barcelona aspartame would kill 200 million people which it
probably has and all this could have been prevented if Rumsfeld had
not been hired to get this deadly chemical poison marketed. Be sure

Ali was very grateful for all the information. I'm sure this
education to avoid aspartame allowed him to survive with Parkinson
Disease so many decades. I always enjoyed his
conversations. Unfortunately, today aspartame is in many things
unlabeled which is against the law. The dairy and jam people
petitioned the FDA to allow it unlabeled. Dr. Ralph Walton told me

refused to remove aspartame with full knowledge of the deadly
interaction and indisputable facts sent. To Big Pharma its just more
deadly drugs to sell with an amoral attitude to the loss of life.
Recap of the Aspartame Parkinson Issue:
I learned about aspartame almost a quarter of a century ago when a
friend was diagnosed with Parkinson. My husband asked me to find out
why after just being diagnosed he appeared to be dying. With my
medical background I knew something had to be triggering these
reactions of his arms and legs flinging out.
As It happened a doctor was visiting us who asked me to check if
Dick Wallace was using NutraSweet. I called Dr. H. J. Roberts,
world expert, (Aspartame Disease: An Ignored Epidemic,
www.amazon.com) and he said he was probably using L-dopa with his
Diet Coke. Indeed he was and in eliminating aspartame his reactions
stopped. . Dick's case is in this medical text.
Aspartame is a deadly addictive excitoneurotoxic, carcinogenic,
genetically engineered, adjuvant, drug and teratogen, a literal
chemical poison that can easily take your life. It goes by many
names, NutraSweet, Equal, Spoonful, Canderel, Benevia, Neotame,
Advantame, AminoSweet, E-951, etc. Required by law but often missing
is the PKU warning in products with unlabeled aspartame. In reality
Dr. James Bowen says aspartame can actually trigger PKU.
Most remember when Michael Fox developed Parkinson, a Diet Pepsi
spokesman, and highly addicted to the aspartame in this
product. Pepsi recently removed this poison from Diet Pepsi but
substituted sucralose. Splenda is chlorinated sugar and who wants
to consume bleach? Years ago Dr. James Bowen wrote the
article "Save The Fox". I even called his physicians but his
doctors were ignorant of how aspartame precipitates Parkinson's
disease, and its interaction with monamine oxidase inhibitors,
alpha-methyl-dopa and L-dihydrophenylalanine. Some wanted to help
Michael including physicians but he was not willing to accept the facts.
Dr. Russell Blaylock, Neurosurgeon, lost both his parents to
Parkinsonism and he wrote the book "Excitotoxins: The Taste That
Kills", www.russellblaylockmd.com He says excitotoxins can produce
Parkinsonism by overexciting the cortical glutamate cells that
connect to the nigrostriatal neurons lying deep in the brain. He
explains it like lightning hitting the power line outside your house
and burning up all of the appliances connected to that line. The
powerline represents the cortical glutamate neurons and the
appliances, the nigrostriatal system.
It was the late Dr. John Olney who founded the field of science known
as excitotoxicity. Dr. Russell Blaylock wrote the book on it. The
aspartic acid in aspartame is an excitotoxin.
In 1985 the late Senator Howard Metzenbaum had congressional hearings
on aspartame and wrote a bill requiring NIH to do independent studies
on what they were seeing in the population as listed below. Notice
even then they were seeing this interaction with L-Dopa. This was 31 years ago!
1. The effect of the consumption of aspartame on brain chemistry.
2. The health effects of the consumption of aspartame on pregnant
women and fetuses.
3. Behavioral and neurological effects experienced by individuals
who have consumed aspartame, especially children who have consumed aspartame.
4. The interaction of aspartame with drugs including MONAMINE
OXIDASE INHIBITORS, ALPHA-METHYL-DOPA AND L-DIHYDROPHENYLALANINE and
5. The effect of the consumption of aspartame in increasing the
probability of seizures.
Why would anyone in Congress not want to have these studies done as
thousands complained of using aspartame and suffering the problems
listed in this bill? The FDA themselves listed 92 documented
symptoms from 4 types of seizures to coma and death. Read the report
on www.mpwhi.com Senators like Orrin Hatch were given money by
Monsanto. The bill never got out of committee and no moratorium was
put on aspartame. Who knows how many millions have had Parkinson's
precipitated by this excitoneurotoxin, and then how many died from
the interaction with L-Dopa. Whose fault is it - the aspartame
industry, the do nothing for the people Congress, the FDA who now
admit they are broken and controlled by Big Pharma who fund them or
industry using aspartame and know its an addictive chemical poison
and care more for money than people? The pop companies can never say
they didn't know this was poison as the National Soft Drink Assn (now
American Beverage) wrote a 33 page protest which is in the
congressional record on my web site. Then they turned around and
lobbied for NutraSweet. The public had no knowledge of what went on
and the cemeteries flourished.
The last honest FDA scientists and toxicologists did testify before
Congress as well. FDA scientist and toxicologist Dr. Adrian Gross on
8/1/85 said aspartame violated the Delaney Amendment which forbids
putting a carcinogen on the market. He said because of the brain
tumors and brain cancer the FDA should not have been able set an
allowable daily intake. In 1987 FDA toxicologist, Dr. Jacqueline
Verrett, told the Senate all studies were built on a foundation of
sand and should be thrown out. Consider it was approved in 1981 and
Dr. Verrett was testifying in 1987 so you have to consider aspartame
is on the market without ever being proven safe. Never forget Dr.
Gross' last words to Congress: "And if the FDA violates its own laws
who is left to protect the public." This is why Mission Possible

Understand the reactions to aspartame are not allergic but toxic like
arsenic and cyanide."

aware of excitotoxins, yet these play a significant role in many of
today's disease. Excitotoxins are chemical substances that
overstimulate certain types of cells in the brain, all of the nervous
system, and many other organs, to such a degree that such cells

found in common food additives, such as MSG, the artificial sweetener
aspartame and others.

The book is life-saving, even tells how to get rid of
hepatitis. I'm particularly indebted to Dr. Blaylock for going into
hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT) for stroke. He says "A number of
animal and human studies have looked at the effect of HBOT on stroke
damage in the brain. Most demonstrate better long-term improvement
with HBOT treatments." I was horrified when my son had a stroke and
two TIA's (transient ischemic attacks) and was taken to Grady
Hospital's Stroke Center in Atlanta where physicians knew nothing
about HBOT and strokes.
Back in the 1990's the late Dr. Ron Lapin who founded the Institute
of Bloodless Surgery, developed the cautery scapel and was nominated
for the Nobel Prize in bloodless surgery discussed HBOT with me in
great detail. He told me that if you could get a stroke victim in a
hyperbaric oxygen chamber within 12 hours it could reverse a
stroke. The Grady doctor said HBOT was used for things like burns or
cosmetic uses and had no knowledge of its necessity in strokes.
No doubt a book needs to be written for medical students who are not
taught about such things as HBOT, nutrition and aspartame which
damages the mitochondria and interacts with drugs and vaccines. Big
Pharma is more interested in them being taught to use dangerous
drugs. I educated physicians in three hospitals here and yet I was
prescribed drugs with aspartame which listed on my chart as
forbidden. It is especially in generic drugs and I was told by one
physician aspartame is in every single gastrointestinal genetic
drug. I stopped breathing on 3 occasions. Aspartame triggers
gastrointestinal problems, and then the drugs used to treat them have
it in it. Dr. H. J. Roberts said for years this is outrageous.

The reason the experts have written these books is to alert the
public before aspartame can disable or take their life. So when you
have to give a gift give a book of life. The recipient will carry
the message on to others and save more lives.
Dr. James Bowen on Aspartame and Parkinson:
As to aspartame nobody has ever said it as well as Dr. James Bowen
who told the FDA that it's mass poisoning of the US and more than 70+
countries of the world, now over 100.
He said on the subject of Parkinson's: "Many NutraSweet victims
report Parkinsonian symptoms. This should be no surprise because
every biochemical component of the aspartame molecule is implicated
in producing Parkinsonian structural damage and creating a
biochemical basis for Parkinsonian symptoms. Aspartame is a source
of methyl alcohol. Experts in neurodegenerative disease from
alcoholism recognize that methyl alcohol is the component of beverage
alcohol that causes neurodegenerative disease in Parkinson's Disease
in alcoholics. Beverage alcohol is grain alcohol. .. However,
methyl alcohol is also present in very small amounts. ... It is the
factor that produces the neurodegeneration. Methyl alcohol
accomplishes this even though the ethyl alcohol serves as a
protective factor. Aspartame on the other hand affords no such
protection and the structural components of the molecule are so
arranged that the methyl alcohol from aspartame is probably 500 to
5000 times more active in producing toxicity than it would be alone.
"The structural damage in the basal areas of the brain where
Parkinson Disease structural damage occurs from the dicarboxylic
amino acid neuroexcitotoxins is a problem long recognized. So
aspartic acid even in and by itself is a recognized source of the
damage to the basal ganglia where Parkinson Disease degeneration
occurs. As in the case with methyl alcohol the molecular structure
of the aspartame molecule probably makes the aspartic acid damage
from aspartame 5000 time more potent than from free aspartic acid on
a mg. per mg. basis. The brain with loss of neural tissue to produce
the dopamine, a neurotransmitter necessary to let the brain circuitry
function normally, is no longer producing dopamine in sufficient
amounts in these structures. The metabolic impact of the
phenylalanine isolate from aspartame is to remarkably decrease
dopamine production thus making Parkinson symptoms much worse.
"The phenylalanine isolate out competes all other amino acids at
enzyme sites in the brain. This includes the decarboxylase enzyme
sites. Therefore, the amino acid tyrosine is not decarboxylated to
tramine which is the first step in producing dopamine in the
brain. Therefore, the brain dopamine levels plummet remarkably."
When Dr. Bowen wrote this it was about Michael Fox and added he
reportedly used L-Dopa to try and increase his dopamine levels. "The
use of aspartame completely defeats this therapeutic endeavor. Not
to mention the fact it caused the degenerative disease called
Parkinson's Disease in the first place. The destructive process will
continue as long as he uses it".
Years of questions and concerns:
Many years ago someone posed the question about the level of dopamine
affecting food additives and drugs can a population consume including
children in school before compulsive problems develop. His question
about the population being at risk from anything that affects
dopamine levels in an unnatural way is answered in Dr. H. J. Roberts
medical text, Aspartame Disease: An Ignored Epidemic over and over
again. Today our children are medicated instead of educated. Dr.
Roberts always said when you see children killing children you have
to consider aspartame. He has a whole chapter on aspartame
and psychiatric and behavioral problems. The writer was interested
in addiction and the methyl ester which immediately becomes free
methyl alcohol is classified as a narcotic. This causes chronic
methanol poisoning which affects the dopamine system of the brain and
causes the addiction. Dr. Roberts gives case after case showing
compulsions that bring up the question of crime. It triggers
bipolar, paranoia, schizophrenia, panic attacks, suicidal tendencies.
Farewell to Muhammad Ali:
I feel privileged to have had a few conversations with Muhammad Ali
and his passing is very sad. We live in a savage time when violence
and brutality are acceptable entertainment. Yes, how sad it is that
such a fine man who exhibited high principles should be taken from
us. Pity the insanity that athletics should mangle each other in the
"sport" called boxing. I would rather he were alive in full health.
