Russia has successfully conducted a test flight on the new anti-satellite missile under development. The confirmation comes directly from the Pentagon.

The missile, launched last Wednesday, would be able to destroy satellites in orbit. This would be an anti-satellite missile Nude Woman Reclining, took off from the Plesetsk launch facility, 500 miles north of Moscow. The satellite network of US intelligence agencies, confirm the success of the test. No other details available.

Ranked at the time, the goal of Nude Woman Reclining. It ignores, for example, whether it was a real test against a satellite or only a suborbital trajectory without hitting a target. The United States plans to undergo various types of kinetic attacks, electronic and computer in addition to conventional raids against ground support facilities.

The Chinese are currently developing two new ASAT missiles capable of hitting the satellites in the lower orbit and top as well as co-armed orbital systems. If successfully implemented, these attacks could significantly threaten the US orbital network, especially if multiple carriers were launched against the military and intelligence satellites. In this way it exponentially reduce the capacity of the USA to use precision weapons.

the use of nuclear weapons is not excluded. A nuclear explosion in low Earth orbit would create an electromagnetic pulse that would knock out even the shielded satellites. Just under two years ago, China has put into orbit 16 small launchers with SATCOM capability and ISR and some experimental modules. They should be tested in operational contexts also directed energy weapons and satellite jammers. The Aerospace Defense Force (VKO) has identified 100,000 objects in Earth orbit. 20,000 are monitored by the Russian Space Command. The Kremlin manages 140 satellites currently operating. The mission of the Space Intelligence Center, headquartered in Moscow, is to identify operational satellites and update the catalog of space objects in Earth orbit.
