1976 - A Favorite Scene from "The PINK PANTHER STRIKES AGAIN" (Farewell to Burt Kwouk)
Wikipedia reports the passing of actor Burt Kwouk on May 24. He was 85.
Kwouk was perhaps best known around the wold as "Cato", Inspector Clouseau's manservant in the Pink Panther films and part of a very long-running gag in which his job was to attack Clouseau unexpectedly as often as possible, to maintain Clouseau's alertness and combat skills, such as they were. :) Invariably their fight would conclude when the phone rang and usually Cato would calmly answer it, "Inspector Clouseau's residence". Clouseau would take the call, and then unexpectedly attack Cato one last time.
Wikipedia mentions, "A reference to his appearances in several films with Peter Sellers is found in the opening scene of The Fiendish Plot of Dr. Fu Manchu (1980) where Sellers says to him "your face is familiar."[12]"
