Until people have a moral re-awakening, they will always look out only for their own immediate interestes, even if it means the demise of someone else.

Nothing will change until the West undergoes a spiritual re-awakening. But the machine would rather nuke the planet before letting that happen. Hence the overt hostility to anything of a spiritual nature, other than worthless New Age of course.
