Why is it racist for a white person to dress up as Little Richard, James Brown, Aretha, or Michael Jackson but it's not racist if minorities dress up as Elvis, the Pope, Santa or Princess Anna from Frozen? I had a slew of Anna's and Disney Princesses) at my door this Halloween, from all races.. Not once did I think any of those precious babies were being racist for playing a game of pretend.

I adore old Motown and my girlfriends and I once dressed up as Diana Ross and the Supremes.. We also did an impersonation (at a BBQ) of Donna Summer. We all dressed up as singers we liked and back in the early 80's I loved me some Donna.. Yes, there were some blacks at that party (friends) and they laughed their backsides off.. Not because we were 'black' but because we were lousy singers :-) Now, would people call me out and say I was being racist?? Probably..

Should little black/Indian/Latino girls be told not to dress up as a Disney character or a Celtic Witch because someone 'might' be offended?? Hell no! Let them dream and play and use their I magi nation to explore their reality. If they admire wonder woman, BE wonder woman.. Should little white girls be told not to dress up as Mulan, Jasmine or Lilo?? I hope not because my grandbaby loves Lilo and Stitch..

Have you ever wondered why they started this race thing?? It's all the other races against whites.. All of them.. 20 years ago we didn't have this problem..
