Everything that seems to go on anywhere, goes on in our minds first. Thought forms come to visit and we indulge them, so their influence gets stronger and stronger. We feed their growth energy with emotions, and... before you ever thought it could happen... you have a big whiny baby or a snarling beast looking to distract or intimidate you... at every opportunity. It's how people turn into junkies of every kind; sex junkies... pain pill junkies... fear junkies; you name it and you can become obsessed with it if you keep going to The Well and visiting it. When you throw food over the rim... which means giving attention to whatever it is... eventually it will crawl out of that well and start taking a more active role in messing with your life.

Large portions of humanity are turning into borderline and over-the-borderline hysterics. People are yammering on about Canada going to war with America. Canada couldn't go to war with The Falkland Islands... without Argentina's help... and consider it a sure thing. Michigan and Montana could probably take Canada. It is not my intention to be dismissive of Canada... no matter what it sounds like. It's simply absurd to think that Canada and The USA would be a fair contest, AND... Canadians are not like The Australians, or at least like the Australians used to be. They are not like The Gurkhas. I know Canadians are a hardy bunch. Let's face it, they... have... to... be. War is another thing. Some nations are good at it and some are not, and ALL OF THEM lose under certain circumstances.
