My granddaughter (in grade school) wanted to educate me on 'recycling' and organics. I had to remind her that we had 'recycling' and 'organic farms' back in the 70s and early 80s. Prevention magazine was an awesome source of info until it was bought up by the corporate media.

Funny story. Yesterday we attended a local Art & Wine Festival. One of the wines being offered was a local Organic Chardonnay. When asked what my choice was I responded with "The Organic Chardonnay."

The lovely lady taking my request kinda snickered and whispered "It's made from grapes..." Meaning grapes are organic matter. I then said "But it's made from grapes not treated with pesticides or chemical fertilizers."

Don't know if that took, but it really did surprise me that she didn't know the difference. I guess I kind of figured people KNEW.

I stand re-educated on the matter.
