This is the realm of the demiurge. A nasty creature that Sophia should never have made. Her mistake. It is a place where priorities are warped and materialism is encouraged. The serious Cathar tried to keep life as simple as possible and do as little damage as they could to it, but they thought ideally this place should not be fed and that they should leave this place as a race. Breeding was frowned upon. This planet was something to escape.

We are forever. If we're not here, we're somewhere else; and the Cathar would prefer to be somewhere else. I know I have a contract with myself to be here, but as far as I'm concerned. . .whatever gets me off this damn planet is faster is welcome.

In other words, I really don't care if we're nuked tomorrow. I have no worries on current circumstances. I'm done. I've accomplished everything I've wanted to accomplish, including getting that chip off my shoulder which was responsible for me asking for this stupid last sojourn in this HELL HOLE. The ego issue that I had where I had to prove something to myself.

Definition of ego is stupidity to the Nth degree. I still have an ego, but it's been redirected. Now, instead of wanting to accomplish something, I strive to be as obnoxious as I can be. Can y'all tell?

WHAT IS IT WITH PEOPLE?

I'm under the impression people are allergic to a decent standard of living and a low stress lifestyle. If they weren't why do they live like they do? No critical thinking skills, no anticipation of consequences, and that's NOT a recent problem. It seems to go back to the beginning of time.

We're technically poverty level, but we keep our overhead as low as possible, and we're doing OK. Some of it is sheer luck, like having found a flat with a landlord that rarely raises rent, but still. We don't buy stuff we don't need, don't buy on credit, no telly, no wireless phone, drive only when I have no choice in a very old car with a rebuilt engine that looks like crap, we know where to shop, and I generally look like something the cat dragged in. We keep it as simple as possible, and are immune to the stupid attempts at social programming. The Hell with the opinions of our fellow mortal flotsam.
