Totally agree with this, Mike. Every moment of today's children's lives are micromanaged. Every second is filled with brainwashing technology, or soul stealing cartoons/movies. It's rare (very rare) to ever see a child of today, outside, laying on their backs and just looking up at the clouds.

It is more of a hatred or disgust of what the silence lays bare.

The narrator in the following video presents a core truth at 4:21.

When self appreciation is stolen from children, or even adults, the result is shallow creatures who cannot relate to or ascribe value to others or even themselves. They have no internal reference for value. They follow the golden rule very closely in that they treat others with the same indignities that they have for themselves. They project their deeply buried suffering and pain onto others. If it makes someone else happy then burn it down.

Technology and popular forms of social and main stream media and especially schools are the main thieves.

The smart phone in current form could easily be said to be a crime against humanity.

Do you pack your child's schedule with activities?
Does your child have no time to get bored?
Did you know boredom is a great teacher?
Boredom teaches children life lessons that worksheets and seminars can't.
