The message from "Rogozin", who has a hammer and sickle logo on his unverified Telegram channel, claims the Starlink equipment came from the Pentagon. (Even if so I don't see how Musk is involved.) The following article says the equipment came from Kyiv, not the Pentagon. Who knows where or when Kyiv got it, and when they gave it to the holdouts in the steel mill. He also says they were not using Starlink to communicate with "senior management", i.e., headquarters, but rather were using "satellite", which I assume means a satphone, such as an Iridium phone. That would make sense, as a satphone would be much more secure than the internet. As I said before, if they are using Starlink, there has to be a Starlink antenna open to the sky, which I would think the Russian could find and destroy.

The captured chief of staff of the 36th Marine Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Colonel Dmitry Kormyankov, in an interview with RT, said that Kyiv handed over to the Ukrainian military in Mariupol a set of Starlink equipment developed by Elon Musk's SpaceX.

“As far as I know, from one of the helicopters, when we had a problem with communication, we were given some kind of satellite ... a satellite kit, and Starlink was just handed over,” he said.

According to him, the military used this kit to communicate with relatives and friends, and also get access to the Internet.

At the same time, he added that satellite, not Starlink, was used to communicate with senior management.

“Starlink is the Internet.

A satellite is a link with senior management,” he explained.

Earlier, the commander of the 36th Separate Marine Brigade since 2021, Hero of Ukraine, Colonel Volodymyr Baranyuk, said in an interview with RT that the Kyiv regime was deceiving the Ukrainian military, promising a deblockade.
