I was concerned that the numerous reports of Russian atrocities on Ukrainians would lead to a change in attitude and peace talk progress from the Ukrainians. This could prolong the war and lead to more dangerous confrontations leading to nuclear war with Nato.

The backlash of what looks like savage war crimes could have a major affect on the decisions made by Nato countries. There may come a day that the Nato nations simply conclude that holding back and not striking against Russia is no longer acceptable. And that "doing something" against the Russians is an absolute moral duty and a defense of humanity itself. This war is not winding down, it is accelerating rapidly towards a possible nuclear exchange.
