The Florida shooting … how to summarize this article? Let’s start by comparing two statements made by public figures. First, words spoken in 1798 by John Adams, one of the evil white patriarchs who founded our racist imperialist nation:
“We have no government armed with power capable of contending with human passions unbridled by morality and religion . . . Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other.”
And second, some random words spoken in 2018 by a hugely-popular entertainer, a man of colour who is best buds with America’s 44th President:
“Jesus can’t save you … Life starts where the church ends … Do what Thou wilt”
Leftist bastards worldwide have worked overtime for the last eight decades to replace human obedience to a divine creator God, with a human-designed code of behavior founded in self-gratification and worship of the sex organs. Leftards have mocked Christians and observant Jews (and even devout Muslims, but only in secret because Muslims are cool, oppressed peoples and must be supported) who have said that humanity’s moral code is burned into our DNA by a creator God. These leftists bastards have decried religion and God as obsolete, dead, out-of-date, unnecessary.
Leftists have substituted the central planner, the engineer, the bureaucrat, the social scientist, the psychologist as wholly adequate human replacements for God and religious faith, and have declared that humanity can only “move forward” if we follow our own thoughts and supposed best interests, and not some foolish moral behavior code imposed by popes and pastors.
The left sees no truth in concepts of eternal reward or punishment. Indeed, the left mocks the very concept of eternity, claiming that our lives are “accidental” and that this brief earthly passage is all there is. When supposedly-brilliant men like Stephen Hawking push the concepts of centrally-engineered societies along with his belief that all life “evolved by a series of accidents”, traditional moral behavior and the concept of divine design struggle to survive under the peer pressure directed at holdout believers. From goo to the zoo to you: All a fluke, with no meaning and no reason.
We might trace the left’s assault on a governing moral code back to Aldous Huxley’s famous 1937 statement (found in his book “Ends and Means”):
“I had motives for not wanting the world to have a meaning; and consequently assumed that it had none, and was able without any difficulty to find satisfying reasons for this assumption. The philosopher who finds no meaning in the world is not concerned exclusively with a problem in pure metaphysics. He is also concerned to prove that there is no valid reason why he personally should not do as he wants to do. For myself, as no doubt for most of my friends, the philosophy of meaninglessness was essentially an instrument of liberation from a certain system of morality. We objected to the morality because it interfered with our sexual freedom. The supporters of this system claimed that it embodied the meaning – the Christian meaning, they insisted – of the world. There was one admirably simple method of confuting these people and justifying ourselves in our erotic revolt: we would deny that the world had any meaning whatever.”
The rejection of a human moral purpose greater than one’s own personal gratification appeared on the western scene roughly simultaneously with the growth of the scientific method of proof, and the idea that only men trained in such high-level reasoning should be entrusted with the design and control of human societies. And from this devolved socialism, communism, and the “deep state” republican bureaucratic structure found in the USA, Canada, and many western European nations today.
