Valery Ivanovich Gubanov, the commander of the An-148 airplane that crashed, came to Saratov Airlines from Rossiya Airlines. There, he worked as a pilot with a total flight time of 5099 hours, of which 2,147 flying hours were on an AN-148, RIA Novosti reported.

Sergei Arsenovich Gambaryan, who was the second pilot on the crashed plane, came from the Angara Airlines with 812 hours of flying time. He piloted the same kind of airplane.

Earlier, portal iz.ru reported that Alexei Vakhromeev, the general director of Saratov Airlines, commented on the collapse of the passenger jet An-148 after being questioned by the Investigative Committee of Russia. According to Vakhromeev, there are no facts at the moment. All information will be known after the commission finishes its work.
