Is the word "authority" really about right & wrong, or morality?
Does the creation of something, imply that the experiences revolving around that something, have to be right or wrong?
To be an author is to be the creator of a book, for example. To be the source of something, is to be its creator. Government can be viewed in this manner, as the source of the laws, and rules. However, what is the source of the Government? What is the source of the representatives that inhabit Government? Who or what is the primary authority?
To create a machine that performs some function, makes its creator the authority of that machine. If somebody else has greater knowledge about how the machine is able to do what it does, to an even greater granularity of detail, then that somebody else might have been the teacher of the creator, or just another wise and/or skilled creator. Being an expert on something, could be as simple as being the most experienced human being in the room, at that time. Knowing 10% more than anyone else at that moment, in that room.
If I create an appliance that washes dishes, I could be viewed as the authority on that appliance. If a customer who buys that appliance from me, decides to stuff his girlfriends cats in that appliance, do I, as the creator of that appliance, have a say in whether that was a right or wrong action?
If I create an appliance that washes dishes, and that dish washer fails to perform as designed and manufactured, do I have the authority, or right, to fix it? Do I have the right to damage it? If it is for my own use, yes. If it was purchased by a customer, for his/her own use, no. Because it was most likely sold on the condition that it works as desired, by myself and the customer. Of course the customer would want me to fix it, to keep the previous exchange fair.
The most common use of the word authority, relates to being more wise than others. The second most common usage is in relation to powers delegated to government. Since those powers were supposedly "delegated" by the people, whom were never part of the establishment of the federal government nor the states, those powers can never logically be weaponized against the people, for it is their own power. Therefore any weaponization of government against its own people is not legitimate.
The above video refers to the second usage, in relation to government "deciding" what is right or wrong. Was the government ever delegated that power? Was the Government designed with that function? No.
If I own a commercial building, and I hire you as a janitor, and give you keys to the building, and you also happen to be an egotistical foolish control-freak or financial-junkie, you might start acting like you are a dictator, to people whom do not appear to be the signer of your paycheck. In that situation, you have assumed authority in your own mind, because I gave you a set of keys to the building. You have become high on what little authority I have delegated to you.

Mathematics is a tool used on the "material" called measurement. To study mathematics is to learn how to work with or manipulate measurements. Studying mathematics can only help you indirectly learn about reality. In the same way learning how to use a mig welder can help you build something. A skill that is combined with other skills and knowledge, to do something else.
