You cannot be what you acquired. You may be the acquirer, but not the things you acquired. You acquired a body, and the body’s mind acquired information, but because you acquired them they are not really you, or even the real you.

You can say you acquired the clothes you wear, and, that they are YOURS, but if you say the clothes are ME, that’s weird.

Your MIND is not really you. The you that you think you are is a program. You were programmed with language and by images, sounds, smells, tastes and feeling. Your every thought is a MEMORY. When your mind thinks, it is processing memories. Try thinking without using what you’ve been taught or learned. Your mind is running programs. Your mind is hardware. Your thoughts are software. Your mind is not you. Your MIND IS A TOOL that you use.

Your body is not really YOU. The body that you think you are is a programmed body. It is the result of a seed and egg. Your body is the result of MEMORY. It grew to be what it is from the memory in the seed and egg. Your body is not you. Your BODY IS A TOOL that you use.

SO WHAT ARE YOU?

What you are not are your body’s and mind’s memories (your thoughts and the egg and seed from which your body came) which means you are much tinier, much smaller.

Clear your mind and there’s nothing. Disappear your body and there’s nothing. What’s left?

What is left is AWARENESS without a thought, without a body.

WHAT IS AWARENESS?

Awareness is the capacity or ability to sense or perceive.

WHAT IS CAPACITY OR ABILITY?

A program has capacity and ability. A program is also memory. So capacity or ability is also a memory.

WHAT IS MEMORY?

Memory is the capacity and ability to retain what is gained from awareness.

So were down to the words, MEMORY and AWARENESS (also called, consciousness).

SO WHAT ARE WE?

Well we are certainly not what we have acquired (though that is what one tends to think).

Before there was body and mind there was awareness with memory. What is it about awareness and memory that is able to acquire a body with a mind?

Awareness with memory has the ability to acquire a body and mind.

What about the ability to acquire and remember?

The ability to be aware, acquire and remember would mean we are AWARENESS WITH THE ABILITY TO ACQUIRE and REMEMBER.

What the hell does that mean?

Since everything that IS, is energy (movement) organized, we are energy organized into AWARENESS WITH THE ABILITY TO ACQUIRE AND REMEMBER, which means before we were organized we were energy NOT organized, which means we are ENERGY.

Since the point is that what we acquire is NOT us, and since energy organized is an acquisition, then pure unorganized energy is what we are, so....what is energy?

Energy is movement. If it doesn’t move, it is something else, not energy.

Is there something before movement, before energy?

Stillness (or “nothing”) would seem to fit the bill.

Are we, essentially, stillness? Stillness has not acquired anything. It just is.

Out of the stillness and silence comes life. Like shedding multiple layers of garments we return to the stillness and silence, having discarded every pretense, fabrication and acquisition. We have returned home.

And so on and so forth, life is a game originating from the stillness and silence, and the purpose of the game is to play the game, and the game is made up of every form and body and thought and emotion and belief that energizes the game and makes it interesting and worth playing, and once you awaken to the idea that life is a game played outside of the stillness and silence it takes away every angst and concern, just like waking up at the end of a movie or un-zoning out of a game of risk, monopoly and chess and realizing they were just a games. So now, since you are awake, you can enjoy all of the games without nary a thought to discomfort you. Every religion, every theology, every philosophy, government, economic system, society, culture, EVERYTHING in life (the matrix that is life) is a stage filled with actors, props, stages and story-lines designed to interest and captivate you until someday you shed the you, you think you are and return to the stillness and silence from which the you that you’re not emerged.

Out of nothing (so to speak) came everything, kind of like everything was preceded by thought, which to the human senses is not physical and nearly like unto nothing, as it was preceded by no thought, or rather, stillness and silence.

If this does not make sense it might be because you are using your senses, and they are but tools to obtain memories with which to live this life.

SO WHAT IS THE STILLNESS AND SILENCE?
