You want to be happy. You want to experience the pleasant energy of happiness, peace, joy, bliss and ecstacy. You want your inner-world to be pleasant. Why? Because you like the feeling. You like feeling that way. It feels good.

Whether seeking knowledge, God, heaven, celestial-glory or earth-glory, money, power, wealth or anything else, what you are really seeking is pleasantness, the feeling of satisfaction.

Whether you are seeking to please and satisfy your mind and its ideas or your body and its desires, ultimately you want to experience that feel-good-feeling. You are seeking self-fulfilment, to fill yourself full with the feeling of pleasantness, and never fill yourself with the feeling of anger.

The world is never angry. The world never gets angry no matter what happens. Only people get angry. They get angry when something happens that disturbs their pleasantness, that delays, prevents or takes away what their minds and bodies consider pleasant. They get angry when things no longer satisfy them. They experience dissatisfaction. They become dissatisfied. They are no longer satisfied. They no longer are getting fed what they need, want and desire. They are now disturbed. Something is messing with their pleasantness.

What if nothing could ever mess with your pleasantness? What if you did not need to be satisfied in body, mind, emotions and life-energy. What if nothing could disturb your happiness, peace, joy, bliss and ecstacy? What if you are always pleasant inside no matter what is happening outside, no matter what is happening around you. What if no event, no situation, no circumstance and no happening could take away your pleasantness? How do you do that?

One way is to have no needs, wants and desires.

Another way is to not care if your needs, wants and desires are met.

Another way is to have no expectations.

Another way is to not care if your expectations are met.

Another way is to have no opinions, conclusions, beliefs or faith.

Another way is to not need to have your opinions, conclusions, belief or faith justified, correct or satisfied.

Another way is to stop thinking and merely be aware of life happening and never have a thought or comment about it one way or the other.

Another way is to adopt the thought–a world view–that everything that happens to you–your every experience–has value, is worth it, has benefits, and so why become unpleasant with things you value.

Another way is to admit you don’t really know anything, don’t know where you came from why you are here where you are going, yet because you value just being here, there’s no need to be unpleasant about it.

Another way is to not be nuts thinking life was created to please you and will always happen the way you think it should.

Another way is to not be crazy and think people were designed to please your way of thinking.

Another way is to realize that things happen without your permission.

Another way is to not be such a damn control freak who freaks out when other people want to do their lives the way they think is best.

And finally, another way is to realize you didn’t create the universe, yourself and you do almost nothing to keep yourself alive and because of that realization you are pleasant because what value does it have to piss of whoever did it.
