Judge Jeanine, Ambassador Bolton – Trump Cleaning Up Mess From 25 Years Of N Korea Appeasement
Judge Jeanine Pirro interviewed former UN Ambassador John Bolton about the situation with North Korea, noting that it seems that we’ve never been closer to the brink of a nuclear war than we are right now.
He agrees that “We are at a crisis point undoubtedly because of the progress that North Korea has made on its nuclear weapons and ballistic missile programs, particularly in the last eight years. So Donald Trump inherits really 25 years of a failed policy of trying to negotiate North Korea out of these programs, and his options are few and not very good.”
Judge Jeanine points out that President Trump has made it clear that he is ready to defend the American people, “locked and loaded,” and our territories as well. She asks what would be a stupid question if there weren’t so many vicious hand-wringing liberals with public platforms, “What’s wrong with that?”
Bolton replies that there’s nothing wrong with it, that 25 years of appeasement hasn’t produced the desired result. He notes that the same people who have told us for years it’s unacceptable for North Korea and Iran to have nuclear weapons are now standing up after their failures to prevent it and saying we must accept it, citing Susan Rice in particular.
He says “I think that’s not where Trump is and that’s not where we should be as a people. We should not allow ourselves to be held hostages by this erratic regime and the threat of nuclear terrorism against our country.”
Judge Jeanine asks about similarities between the appeasement, the money paid to North Korea and to Iran and how those policies work to our detriment, and “that it is time for us to stand up because these bullies are at the point where – the Iranians yell ‘death to America, death to the big devil, the little devil, Israel and the United States, I mean what are we supposed to do, turn around and put our tail behind our legs?
Bolton says we have reached the point where we may need to look at “one more diplomatic play to convince China to reunite the peninsula with us in a constructive way and eliminate North Korea or you have to look at the military option.”
He notes that concerns about the difficulty and the chaos that war might create today are dwarfed by the chaos when North Korea finally launches missiles at the United States. He disagrees with Tillerson’s overtures to North Korea, declaring you simply can’t negotiate with them. It’s been tried for 25 years. All it’s done is cost us a lot of time and put us in a much worse position.
