Dahboo reports on the many container ships of the Hanjin company which are now stranded at sea due to bankruptcy. People are calling them "ghost ships".

You can see the positions of the Hanjin ships by going to the "Marine Traffic" website.

In the search box at the top where it says "Vessel/Port" type in "Hanjin". A rather large list appears; at present it lists 380 vessels so I don't quite understand how this relates to the 85 ships considered "stranded". Apparently the "stranded" status means "denied port entry".

In any case you can click on a vessel to go to its information page showing its position, status, speed, flag, and other details.

If you scroll down a bit there is a section called "Latest Position" and a link that says "Show on live map" which will take you back to the map showing the given ship.

It's pretty cool to be able to see a world map with all the ships at sea isn't it?
