Earth will face disaster if you do not strengthen the magnetic shield, said Dr. Joseph Pelton, a former dean of the International Institute of Space in France.

Doctor Pelton says that the Earth is shielded from the solar storm by the natural invisible shield - the magnetosphere. The problem is that the magnetosphere weakens because the poles of the Earth are in constant motion. And that means that our planet is becoming more vulnerable and sensitive to the impact of the eruptions of the sun.

Therefore, Dr. Pelton asks scientists to the device as soon as possible a large magnetic shield that will protect the Earth.

Solar storms occur about once in 11 years, although they are not felt on our planet so often. This phenomenon occurs when the sun accumulates magnetic energy, and is suddenly released. Scientists believe that in general we are not ready for such a blow.

"The magnetic energy that the Sun releases brings millions of tons of ions traveling about two million kilometars per hour, and can destroy the world economic system and global infrastructure," adds Dr. Pelton.

He proposes the creation of a large electro-magnetic shield that not only shielded the Earth from large solar storm, but could also be used for other purposes, such as setting up a satellites which would function as a solar panels and sent to Earth clean energy.

"It is time that the leaders of space agencies consider which technology to use in order to save the Earth and the human race. To put it bluntly, it's time to start their real work - rescue of the Earth," he concludes.
