Another test of hypersonic gliding aircraft was carried out in China.
After the US and Russia, Beijing chose this military development as a priority. However, the reasons why the Chinese and Americans are developing a hypersonic weapons are different.

Chinese military conducted the third in this year's tests of hypersonic gliding aircraft. As reported, the missile can travel at speeds up to ten times the speed of sound, and can overcome the US missile defense. Beijing plans to take the product into service with 2020.

The first successful tests of the device was reported early in the year.
The US military gave it a code name WU-14. "According to officials, hypersonic, apparently designed to be launched by one of the intercontinental ballistic missiles, to then toward the near-Earth space close it could plane and develop speed up to ten times exceeding the speed of sound," - reports The Washington Free Beacon.

"We constantly monitor the activity in the military overseas, and we are aware of this test," - confirmed at the Pentagon. As noted by the US military, Washington expects Beijing for "greater transparency in relation to investment and defense objectives in order to avoid mistakes."

This summer it was reported the second test.

Military department of China said that is a development of a "normal" scientific experiment and is not directed against anyone. Experts note that the missile can be a shock weapon against US aircraft carriers and warships.
Later, South China Morning Post, citing sources in the military reported that the second launch was a failure. And now, the third start-up - apparently is successful.

Note that was recently learned that this kind of a new arms race of hypersonic weapons was joined by France. Defense Minister of the Fifth Republic announced the beginning of the development of a new generation of missiles, in which course of work will be studied hypersonic technology.

Hypersonic flight is undetecable by any modern radar, and for the establishment this means there is no effective means to intercept such missiles.
Recently hypersonic weapon was called a priority for development in Russia and the United States. Reports said that Russia is lagging behind this, but former commander of the Russian Strategic Rocket Forces Colonel-General Viktor Esin inists "no, we're about the same level".
