In this case, Plaintiffs have not made a showing that they are entitled to the extraordinary remedy of a preliminary injunction. Accordingly, their motion is respectfully denied.

What does today's ruling denying the Injunction of SB277 mean?

The federal court hearing that happened on August 12th in San Diego was to put an injunction on SB277 while the lawsuit is heard - so to put an end to the SB277 vaccine mandate while the lawsuit was heard. This is what was denied today by the judge. The judge ruled that he wants SB277 to continue to be statute during the lawsuit against SB277 and therefore children will have to adhere to SB277 in order to go to school.

What are next steps?
It is likely that the lawyers in this case will appeal in the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals and request the same injunction there so that SB277 is put on hold during the time when the case is being heard. The main lawsuit will continue in federal court which has a number of different aspects to it (religious rights, constitutional right to education, IEP right to education, Medical exemption pilot program, among others).

What can YOU do to help this case?
We need to get vaccines and vaccine injury into the mainstream. We are in the Harvey Milk era of gay marriage rights with vaccine injury. Mainstream people are not thinking about vaccines and vaccine injury because they don't know that if affects them. Mainstream people will likely go through a period of being pro-vaccine before they realize that they have a vaccine injured person in their circle of friends and family. It is at the point that they realize that this affects their family that the voices will be loud enough to be heard across the nation to change the tide in a completely different direction.

So here are recommendations from A Voice for Choice of what YOU can do in the next few
months:

* Challenge yourself to talk to one person each day about vaccines and vaccine injury. Meet them where they are at and just plant the seed. You don't need to convince them against vaccines, just plant the seed so they do their own research to make an INFORMED CHOICE.

* Put a bumper sticker or write on your car and park it in a conspicuous place. If you need bumper stickers email:

* Find out who your legislator is

and who is running in your districts in November and create relationships with all of them, so whoever is elected you have that relationship with them. Sign up for their coffee mornings and go to all their events. When you walk into their office you want them to know who you are.
