YOU MIGHT AS WELL BE DEAD

It is important ONLY if you think it is. Thinking so makes it so.

Thinking that you need, want and desire something makes that something important, to YOU.

If you have no needs, no wants no desires, life is unimportant.

If you free your will from need want and desire, ONLY THEN is your will, free. With your will, free (from need, want and desire) what motivates you? The only thing that may motivate your will, is your body’s senses (its reactions to pleasure and pain) and even without you willing to react, your body will react automatically.

An infant has true free-will. An infant has no mental needs, wants and desires (though its body will react to pleasure and pain). However, it isn’t long before the infant develops mental concepts about pleasure and pain, and with its UNDERSTANDING, it begins to think it needs, wants and desires pleasure, and to avoid pain. And thereafter, the infant no longer has free-will (for it mentally seeks pleasure and mentally seeks to avoid pain).

An adult who seeks pleasure and seeks to avoid pain, has no free-will. An adult’s mental will is motivated by its needs, wants and desires. Few adults (if any) have free-will (if an adult likes pain, then his like for pain motivates his will to obtain it).

If you think nothing is important; if you think nothing has value for you (if nothing brings you pleasure or pain) you are a walking dead man, and might as well BE DEAD.
