People say I’m an old fart, but I want you to know that all my farts are as new as yours, though it’s coming from a 93 year-old body sitting in a rocking chair on a porch looking back at its life and I’m re-enjoying all the things I did. The most joy I’m experiencing now is knowing that during the difficult challenging trying times of yesteryear I enjoyed them rather than bitched about them. I have nothing to apologize for because I never yelled at the universe, “YOU SUCK!” and I never told God (whatever that is or isn’t) to go to hell...though I did say, “If you exist, you might what to check if you’ve got a screw lose.”

In the life before I got old, life was what it was, and today, life is what it is, and if I see tomorrow it will be what it will be, and that’s just fine hunky dory dandy with me.

I learned while quite young that shit happens, people do things, and that’s life, and that if you moan and groan and bitch about things, you’re nuts, because complaining about things that happen isn’t worth the plug nickle that never could buy you mental, emotional or physical health, whereas a good attitude makes you a millionaire even if you live under a bridge and are cold, starving and ugly.

Ok...in truth, I’m only 68, but I often jump into the future while doing something in the present to see what it will look like looking back. The most important thing I learn by looking back is that nothing is important unless I thought so, and by jumping into the future and looking back I realize the unimportance of things in the present (think back and forth to the future) which takes all the “WooHoo...this is IMPORTANT!” wind right out of the sails.

My main motto has always been, “LIFE IS LIFE the rest is ATTITUDE,” and the next most important is, “EVERYDAY IS A GOOD DAY TO DIE...go ahead...make my day!” and I can tell you personally with those two mottos, life ain’t got no hold on me, which means I am able to enjoy ALL THAT IS LIFE no matter what I do to screw things up or what other people or planet earth or infiinity and beyond does to me.

I’m enjoying the ride of a lifetime even in my declining years, and why not, I may never be this old again. nem.
