I intended to attach a video to this post, it didn't make it. So I was lucky to find her blog, she writes a great piece about why she believes feminism is a cult - I am attaching this - it is a great read and a real eye opener. I think she is right:)

Despite what members of the feminist movement want to claim, it's easy to see the cult mentality of the political party. Here I will explain why exactly feminism is a cult and should be treated as such:
1. The leader and group are always correct and anything the leader does can be justified.
There doesn't seem to be one specific leader of the feminist movement, however, there are a lot of highly revered leaders. Women who are prominent and in the spotlight. If these women are questioned by outsiders or anyone provides undeniable proof these women are wrong, not only will the person be defended but it sometimes gets violent and hateful. There is unquestionable defense of anything these women say.
2. Questions, suggestions, or critical inquiry are forbidden
There is no free thinking allowed in feminism. Though the movement is divided by different sects, if you have a free thought in any one of these sects you are shunned. Feminism is divided into many different types. There are TERFS (Trans Exclusionary Radical Feminists), Political Lesbians, Sex Positive, Anti-Porn, All Sex Is Rape, and just plain old Radical Feminists who seem to be a bit of all of these things. The feminists out there now, questioning the movement, such as Christina Hoff Sommers get regular backlash for pointing out the flaws in the movement.
3. Members incessantly scramble with cramped schedules and activities full of largely meaningless work based on the leader's agenda
As previously stated, there is no official 'leader' for this group, but there are women scrambling to do pointless tasks in order to promote this movement. Things like "I need feminism because" signs. As well as bake sales for equality (which don't prove any point other than feminists don't know that the wage gap doesn't exist) as well as countless campaigns about teaching men not to rape, or things to convince women they have been raped. Flyers and other posters being created, sold, and put up. Mindless work which takes a bunch of effort and pretty much benefits no one.
4. Followers are meant to believe that they are never good enough.
Considering the examples given on "I need feminism because..." signs, it's painfully obvious these girls do not think they are good enough. Also one needs to consider the feminists complaining that if they don't get sexually harassed they are ugly but if they do get sexually harassed they've been raped (even if it's no more than a random catcall on the street). Feminism constantly claims that it will "fix" and help women, and women believe they cannot be good enough (and are not good enough) unless they are promoting the feminist agenda.
5. Required dependency upon the leader and group for even the most basic problem-solving.
Once again I will refer you to the "I need feminism because..." movement and hash tag. If you look into those things (some of which can be found here) you can easily see how dependent the movement is on feminism, for not only solving basic problems, but for also trying to solve problems which absolutely don't exist or have nothing to do with an outside group. Such as changing personal beliefs or opinions.
6. Reporting on members for disobedient actions or thoughts is mandated and rewarded.
Considering how much hate, I, and other anti-feminists get from the feminist movement, this one is obvious too. Other than the fact that we have recorded footage of feminists disrupting protests (violently) and being violent themselves towards anyone who opposes them, I'd say this one is set in stone. Feminists then greatly pat each other on the back for "shutting down" these events or slandering these outsiders because they think they've done the right thing by censoring the opposition.
7. The 'outside' world -- often including family and friends -- is presented as rife with impending catastrophe, evil, and temptations.
Feminists are constantly trying to convince not only each other, but the entire world, that anyone who opposes them is bad. They insist that all men are rapists or killers and argue that at any point any man could rape them. They demonize an entire gender and work themselves into a tizzy about how dangerous anyone who isn't a feminist is. They paint the world as unsafe and evil using faulty rape statistics and other propaganda about how the wage gap still exists. If you do not align with them then you are not protected.
8. Recruitment of new members is designed to be purposefully upbeat and vague about the actual operations of the leader and group.
There are many recruitment tactics as of now when it comes to this movement. They are mostly stationed on social media websites like twitter or tumblr. They get hashtags trending and put up blogs. They make feminism seem as appealing as possible and use faulty logic to convince people they already are feminists (they just don't know it yet). They make feminism seem like a huge security blanket and then send hate and threats to reinforce this idea if you turn them away. It's usually appealing to younger girls who are constantly bullied or feel powerless anyway. On the outside feminism looks like a good idea and until they are deep within the movement they don't see all the harm it's doing. Once they are there they are too brainwashed to recognize feminism as anything but good.
9. Former members are shunned and perceived as hostile.
I've already mentioned Christina Hoff Sommers, as she is probably one of the most prominent women speaking out against what feminism has become. The feminists as of now hate her and she's constantly under attack. Former members who now speak out against the group (some well known some just people like me) are also treated in such a manner. Feminism is harmful and aims to destroy the truth.
Looking at this checklist presented here I defy anyone to give me any reason why feminism isn't a cult. I've gotten responses but the were mostly along the lines of "Ha ha you're an idiot" and those responses, of course, are usually from feminists. This movement isn't only a cult and operating like one, but it's a dangerous cult, a powerful one at that. It's something that people need to stop ignoring.
