Dear Subscriber, Yesterday, Google News headlined the following New York Times article, “Miami Beach Zika Cases May Prompt Call to Avoid City,” the implication being that Zika is a dangerous, if not lethal virus and that the entire city should be on high alert against, not to mention further justifying widespread pesticide spraying and the imminent release of GMO mosquitos ostensibly to "combat" it. The reality, however, is that Zika virus is, relative to other common viruses like influenza, extremely benign, and has never been proven to cause a single death. According to the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control: “Zika virus disease is a mosquito-borne disease caused by Zika virus. Most infections are either asymptomatic [approximately 80%] or cause a mild illness with a transient maculopapular rash.” “Disease symptoms are usually mild, and the disease is commonly short-lasting and self-limiting. Its duration is between 2–7 days without severe complications, with no associated fatalities and a low hospitalisation rate.” The old world medical paradigm is always looking for a virus to fight. In order to keep the intellectually defunct germ theory alive, as well to push agendas of control and profit, it is essential for the public to believe there is something “out there” that can kill or maim them or their loved ones, and that the medical industrial complex (and their cheerleaders in politics and the media) exists to protect them against it.
