Not really slime as it is dry and most likely related to the coal ash that is being dropped from the planes (one of the things anyway). Seem all marble statues around the world are having the same problem. Ever see what coal does to towns that are founded on that industry? It is the hydrogen sulfide which is dying bacteria that causes this.

The combination below works on people, would it work on marble?

I wonder if they have tried Stevia and milk?? Liquid Stevia and Organic milk. Just because some of the other things they put in milk is probably what caused all the allergies for people in the first place. One might think these additives could also discolor marble? Milk is a protein and perhaps I've just given the bacteria new life???? I didn't use to drink it but have been frantic to remove this stuff from my body.
