Dear Swami, I don't know why being required to work so many hours in the farm ..is considered enslavement. What a cattitude.

I think that is a very good solution. Besides, what other choice do they have..? Months ago,when I heard that they are in dire need of food, I asked myself why have they not planted some crops..? What is wrong with these people..? Why are they running around stealing ..? Their shortage did not happen overnight.

Of course I understand that the cause of their scarcity is their government telling the food producers what price they should sell their produce. Some, when told to give away their merchandise at a loss, they just go dump it in the landfill, after allowing it to spoil.

In Amerika, neighbors and town ppl will destroy you if you planted vegetables in your yard.

How insane they have become.

I work on a small plot of land myself. It's lot of fun. Plus I get my vegetables the way I like it. Watermelon, 4months, Okra 3 months, Peanuts 3 months, rice 4 months.Fruit trees,once matured, gives every year for the rest of its life. Jackfruit 3 years, Mangoes (grafted) 3 years.Papayas 4 months. Free-range chicken 3 months, Tilapia 3 months..Ppl here don't have much money. I'm in a 3rd world country whose wealth and resources are being sucked by IMF, but hey...we don't starve.

If the people forced to work on farms are not getting anything in return, like some of the food, then that is a problem.

The socialist government dictating every facet of one's life is a problem. The reason it is a problem, is because government is not living each individual life, therefore it cannot know what is best for each individual, nor when.
