Russian planes reportedly bombed a secret CIA base in Syria, near the Jordanian border, according to "The Wall Street Journal".

In the stronghold that the Russian "Sukhois" leveled with cluster bombs last month, were members of the American and British armies, claims list.

Despite the fact that the attack could have killed American soldiers, which would make the relations of two forces fell into serious problems, the Pentagon and the CIA are still pondering whether to accept a compromise with Moscow.

Washington last week signed an agreement to Russia on common attacks on the positions of Al-Nusra Front (a group that is part of Al-Qaeda), despite opposition from the Pentagon and the CIA. In return, the Russians have suspended attacks on the positions of "moderate" Syrian rebels, financed by Americans.

Kremlin: We do not know anything about that

The Kremlin is not aware of the incident about the air attack on a US base in Syria, said the press secretary of the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov.

- I do not know anything about that. I can not comment on the allegations in the newspaper. This question should be addressed to the Ministry of Defence - Peskov, reports "Sputnik".

Peskov also said that Russia may increase the number of its aircraft in Syria.
