Agreed. Capitalism is fine. Corporatism and monopolies are the evil entities. For example, why do we only have one or two choices for power or water companies? Open up the competition and watch those rates fall.

Also, until people wake up to the fact that 'franchises' do NOTHING but parasitically steal YOUR hard earned money, they will flourish. Open up your Own Chicken Fried restaurant or your own Car parts/ oil changing store. Competition is a good thing!

There is nothing innately wrong with Capitalism, other than the overbearance of the ability to exaggerate profits through greed, and for greed. How hard would it be to legislate a standard for profit at a certain reasonable percentage. It could be set at, say 10% or 15% and prices would be lowered appropriately and in a livable manner. Corporate accounting standards can be set to cover every cost element. That is done today. The problem is that executive compensation is totally out of control and bonuses for doing your job should not exist. Be thankful you have a job. If you don't perform, out you go, rather than "incentivizing" certain people to do their job. Same with stock options. You want to buy into the company, use your own money like everyone else!! Sweetheart "Board jobs" are also unnecessary. The Executive management already runs the company, let them be responsible for the company. If they fail they better have their resume ready, if they can find another posting, with that black mark, Good Luck.

Capitalism has been taken out of control by simple greed, that's all. Stop it and everything will settle down.
