It was a scam that did in her computer. They've (not to profile here, but they're always persons of Hindu descent) been running it for years: call you up with a frantic message that your PC is infected with some super-malware, direct you to a "Microsoft" website, which actually downloads the bug. They told her they can remove it for $1500!
CR gets wise, puts the guy on hold for about an hour, then hangs up.

They tried the same scam on me several times. I lost one computer before I got wise. Next time they called I said something like "your mother slept with an Untouchable" and hung up.

Some of you have realized Crystal River is a Magical Being. As are we all, but most of us have our Magic programmed out at an early age Remember dreams of flying? How often do you have them now?

Crystal River is always a heartbeat away from taking flight. We've been email buddies for about ten years, occasional phone conversations, exchanges of small gifts when we could afford them. She always lifts me up where we belong, she has that gift.

And if her posts--or even her conversations--often stretch the limits of grammar and defy proper syntax, it's because she thinks much faster than she can speak, or type. But this, I've finally realized, is how the High Priestess always speaks to us.
The true Oracles always violate syntax. That forces us to parse out the sense of it, so that as with the finest poetry, we find its truth by our own efforts, and in the doing of that, we take possession of that truth, we "own" it on far deeper levels than if it were told us flat out, spelled out like catechism.
