Does anyone else find Obama's crocodile tears for the 'poor immigrant children' pouring into our country somewhat disingenuous? He apparently expects us to welcome an indeterminate number of children crossing our southern border with open arms. Why are these children coming here right now? There are always people crossing but in these numbers?
How about our so called global savior, the UN working to make sure their countries of origin come up to US standards? Then people won't feel like they have to escape to another country. That concept must be too simple for TPTB. On the contrary, if Maurice Strong's speech at the UN Agenda 21 summit in Rio in 1992 is any indication, their goal is for America to fall to the level of 3rd world countries, not bring them up to our standards which is the propaganda they put forth.
But, back to the poor little children. It seems that many of these kids are teenagers with records in their country of origin. I've also read that some of our politicians are on record as having promised them immunity and sanctuary if they came to the US. I smell a political agenda here, not compassion for kiddies. Of course these kids aren't the same as the people who have lived here for years illegally.
Smarter people than me will have to come up with fines or penalties for these people who have lived and worked here and no doubt have children who are citizens. What is it they call those children? Anchor babies? They know what they're doing when they come here. And to give them total immunity is a slap in the face to every immigrant who came here legally. But the ones who are crossing now need to be returned to their own countries. Giving out blanket immunity has been done before and all it did was encourage more to cross into America illegally.
If our politicians (yes, both parties) are so concerned about the security of our country that they have just about completely turned America into a police state, then why are our borders as porous as a colander? Why have our Border Guards been told to stand down where these children are concerned? Why are they being bussed into towns instead of to a holding area to be returned to their country of origin?
It hasn't escaped my notice that some of these southern states have opposed this president and his policies for some time. Now they're being told they have to accept these illegals? Of course, I'm sure there is no connection. My question is, and why I'm saying disingenuous, is where was his concern for Iraqi children killed indiscriminately? And in Syria his US trained and backed rebels trying to depose Assad , have slaughtered thousands of children and rendered more homeless.
Oh, that's right, politicians call that collateral damage. It's to be expected that the population in any war torn country will suffer from the fighting taking place there. Those silly people just picked the wrong place to be born and try to raise a family.
Well, how about learning to settle differences in a peaceful and respectful manner? What makes one nation of people or one race of people think they are any better than another? That has never made any sense to me. And almost every country, race, ethnicity has at one time or another been the perpetrator of crimes against humanity. Obama sadly, is not unusual in putting money and politics ahead of human life. That story is as old as humanity.
The UN's answer is to disarm all citizens. The results of countries who have disarmed citizens as opposed to countries who have not should be enough proof of how stupid an idea that is. There will always be people with no morals or conscience who seek to harm others. And they don't need guns to do it. Almost without exception these same people place an inordinate value on their own lives. Time after time these would be robbers, rapists, and murderers will run from a well armed citizen and seek easier, safer prey elsewhere.
My friends in law enforcement are highly amused at the attitude of most of the gun grabbers. They, to a person, admit that 99% of the time, they show up at a crime scene to investigate afterward, not to protect the victims from the crime. I don't know about you, but I don't like those odds.
So if idiots like Bloomberg think that a well armed citizen is a danger to his fellow citizens and violent crime is higher in those places, someone explain Switzerland to me. Men are given weapons to serve their country and then upon discharge are told to take their weapons home for the protection of their families, neighbors and country. Un-doctored statistics tell a different story about the crime rate in areas where people are allowed to carry guns.
History tells me that the only ones who benefit from an unarmed citizenry are criminals, including some holding public office. So, don't look to NATO or the UN to come up with peaceful solutions to the carnage around the world. This must start with We the People. And I don't mean just in this country.
Regular, every day people everywhere need to learn to view others as no different from themselves. Differences in religion, political views, ethnicity and skin color are nothing but window dressing. People have more in common with people in other countries, as well as in their own country than they have differences. Understand that we have a common enemy that doesn't give a damn about us or our children except how they can be used for their benefit. They will use centuries old strife and grievances to divide and conquer us. Don't fall for their agenda.
Just watch young children playing with others of different color, ethnicity or even religion. Unless they are old enough to have been brainwashed by their elders to hate people who are different from them, they will automatically accept others who are different, without question. Hatred and intolerance has to be taught. People aren't born with it.
Many years ago, when I asked my daughter, “Who was the little black boy you were playing with at the park?” I had never seen him before. She responded, “What little black boy?” All she saw was another kid to play with. His color didn't even register. That is the way we should all be.
People everywhere just want to live in peace, have a decent job, raise their families, have a decent place to live. We are not pawns to be moved around on the global chessboard at the whim of people who have more money than sense. Our children are not 'collateral damage' for their real life war games or cheap labor for their factories.
We need to stand together against the global elite who think this world and everything in it belongs to them. There are far more of us than them. It will be a shame if we allow them to call the shots. Let's show them that putting their puppets in office will do them no good. We are smarter than that. We are waking up. Everyone everywhere, pay attention to what your politicians are doing. As for our fearless leader, I wouldn't believe a word out of his mouth if he were standing on every Bible ever printed.
I will believe that Obama cares about the little children in other countries when he stops bombing or training others to bomb people in other countries. Places that have not threatened us and therefore pose no threat to America or our way of life. I will believe that he's serious about immigration reform when he makes sure that our borders are secure first.
As far as I'm concerned his move on immigration is nothing more than a temper tantrum because his party took a beating in the elections. Instead of realizing that the American people are fed up with his lies and policies and are looking for something different, misguided though they are, he's going to destroy what little credibility he has left. And it was little enough already.
Is his arrogance so complete that he thinks the American voter is stupid enough to believe his lies anymore? Instead of wringing his hands over the poor little immigrant children flooding our border states, he would be far more effective limiting himself to his constitutional role and stop trying to rule by executive order. Whoever said that power corrupts couldn't have nailed it any closer.
Please, somebody hide that damn pen of Obama's while we still have a country.
