Convention of States Action
(States trying to rein-in the actions of the federal government through states legislative action to have a convention of states. Bill SCR 10 = the bill in the West Virginia State Government and it has already been passed by the senate, but now it is being held up by the judiciary committee that is attempting to block it getting to the floor of the house to be voted on and mostly likely passed. They have only until Saturday before this session of the House ends in WV to get this bill to vote that has on overwhelming number of supporters. You DO NOT have to be a citizen of WV, just a US citizen that also cares about the US Constitution and the over-reaching actions of the federal government. Please help, quickly.)

URGENT – Immediate action required – PLEASE CALL SPEAKER ARMSTEAD AND E-MAIL ALL WV DELEGATES!
There is a movement behind the scenes in the West Virginia House of Delegates to undermine your efforts to pass the Convention of States application to propose constitutional amendments that will restrain the power of Washington, D.C.
In a weird turn of events last night in the House Judiciary Committee, SCR 10, our COS application, was defeated in a voice vote (read – no accountability!). An effort to get a recorded vote was rebuffed, despite a House Rule requiring a recorded vote—and despite the fact that an overwhelming majority of the Committee supports the resolution!
At this point, there is only one procedural device that can give us our vote on the House floor, where we have enough co-sponsors to guarantee final passage. Please call Speaker Tim Armstead and e-mail the WV Delegates and urge them to discharge SCR 10 from the Committee to give us our vote!

With the WV State Lawmakers doing what they did just recently to pass the bill about concealed carry and then overriding the Governor's veto of the bill so that, now, it automatically becomes law in 90 days, (the bill is for all citizens of WV from the ages of 21 on to NOT have to get a license/permit to conceal carry), this is definitely a group of state lawmakers that are taking action to uphold the US Constitution and the Constitution of WV and support/work FOR their citizens. I believe this is another state to closely watch what is going on in their state government right now.
