Bush jumps to second in NH poll

Jeb Bush has surged to second place behind Republican presidential rival Donald Trump in the early-voting state of New Hampshire, according to a new poll.
The former Florida governor has the support of 18 percent of likely Republican primary voters in the Granite State, according to the Emerson College poll released Wednesday morning. Trump holds the lead with 35 percent

John Kasich follows Bush at 14 percent, with Marco Rubio at 9 percent, Ted Cruz at 8 percent and Chris Christie at 5 percent.

Support for the pack of establishment candidates has fluctuated as they battle for a strong second-place finish behind Trump, who has held a healthy lead in New Hampshire for months.

The poll found that 2008 Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin's endorsement of Trump last week has had a slightly negative impact on GOP voters in the Granite State, with 38 percent now less likely to vote for Trump.

Meanwhile, 24 percent of respondents said the endorsement is going to make them more likely to vote for Trump, and another 38 percent said..
