I'm one of those individuals who's very methodical and meticulous about keeping diaries, photo albums, and scrapbooks of places that I've visited over the years. My memory is nowhere near as sharp or accurate as it was when I was much younger, and it's startling sometimes to review some of the memorabilia that I've kept over the years.

It wasn't until I reached my mid-30s that I began to recognize there is a hidden meaning and purpose to our lives that extends far beyond our birth and death and the passage of time. I've personally documented several instances in my life where my introduction to and relationship with a particular person or group can not be explained by coincidence alone.

At the time of JFK's assassination in 1963, I was attending grammar school. I recall sitting in the classroom with my teacher when the news came that Kennedy was shot and killed, but don't have a visceral sense of how I reacted. While the assassination was certainly a shock to me, I know that I didn't cry at hearing the news of the President's death.

Life has a funny way of blurring the boundaries between time and space. As the podcast webmaster responsible for putting Radio RMN's broadcasts online between 2008-12, I came in contact with a wide variety of alternative media writers and thinkers who appeared as hosts and guests on the show. This experience also jumpstarted my interest in listening to podcasts produced by other alternative media outlets.

One of those competing radio stations is The Power Hour hosted by Joyce Riley. A few years ago, Joyce interviewed Edward T. Haslam and Judyth Vary Baker and allowed both guests to discuss the subject of their respective books that relate directly to the JFK assassination. I had never heard of either book author before and was instantly hooked. I ordered both of their books (Dr. Mary's Monkey and Me and Lee) and began reading them from cover-to-cover.

In 2013, Judyth announced that she was finishing up her follow-up book to Me and Lee called David Ferrie: Mafia Pilot, Participant in Anti-Castro Bioweapon Plot, Friend of Lee Harvey Oswald and Key to the JFK Assassination. As it turned out, the publishers weren't able to release the David Ferrie book until very recently.

Late last week I received my copy in the mail and began reading the first few chapters. On one of the pages, I did a double-take. The author provided the names of Ferrie's younger brother and sister-in-law who got married during World War II. The sibling brother had a distinctive first name that I had heard only once before in my life when I lived in San Diego. The name was 'Parmely' and I had traveled with this person and his wife along with 20 other individuals to China in 1981. Could they possibly be the same couple who were directly related to the subject of Judyth Vary Baker's book about David Ferrie?

I pulled out my China scrapbook from the bedroom closet and learned the truth for myself. As you can see for yourself by looking at this scanned document, the couple that accompanied me on that China trip 33 years ago were Parmely and Rosemary Ferrie.

I moved out of the San Diego area in 1984 and never kept in contact with any of the China travelers. According to the material published in the David Ferrie book, Parmely Ferrie died on Jan 1, 2013.
