My roommate went to Costco today and she agreed to buy some toilet paper for me if it was in stock. As expected, Costco was sold out of its inventory of toilet paper.

Then, this afternoon I went to Whole Foods Market to see if they had any toilet paper on stock. They had none, though they did have paper towels and I bought a few rolls.

Finally, I stopped inside of Rite Aid and they had a few 4-packs of toilet paper on the shelf. The one stipulation was, Rite Aid had marked up their price of toilet paper by 100% from what was printed on the shelf label. While the listed price was $3.79, I ended paying $7.50. I remarked to the sales clerk that the tag on the shelf listed a much lower price, and she mumbled something that I couldn't make out.

I paid the higher price for the toilet paper and walked out the door.
