What is life?

Life is energy organized.

We perceive darkly the energy that is the light of life.

Why?

Because we have opinions, biases, prejudices, beliefs, and conclusions, and they are mere representations of life, inaccurate, channeled through our senses and interpreted according to our indoctrination since birth (did I mention, “Not accurate”)?

Why are concerned people concerned, stressed, even afraid?

Bottom-line: They do not understand life. They do not trust life. They trust to their own mis”understanding”. They want life to happen their way. They want life to go according to their needs, wants and desires. They get upset when life does life its way, according to law; according to action/reaction; according to cause/effect.

No one wants illness, injury, unpleasantness, old age, and most do not want to die, but THAT’S LIFE. If you want to be at peace and happy do not kick against the pricks. You’ll just bloody yourself and suffer more.

ACCEPT the reality of the life you were born into and you’ll be happier.

WORK to change what can be changed to be pleasant, but if you fail, accept the moment and then double your efforts, and if that too fails, keep working anyway. Never give in and never give up. Keep working to experience pleasantness.

I could go on and say don’t divide life into likes and dislikes. Realize this life is temporary. You were “designed” to die. Life is pain. Everything is going just fine. Life knows what it is doing (most people don’t, and object passionately).

Receive all things with thankfulness.

Why?

Because human ignorance (about almost everything) compels a reasonable person to acknowledge the wonder, grandeur, splendor, brilliance and magnificence of life. If you don’t see it, I guess you can always opt out and learn if there is more than your ignorance awaiting you.

There are grand troubles ahead unknown to those who have not been to war. THAT’S LIFE.

To constantly rail about those troubles in great theological detail is one way.

To be stoic about it is another way.

To teach acceptance (in the face of the best efforts to bring about a different “ending”) is another way.

And that way is a law of “life” in the saying, you can enjoy the peace that passes all understanding (by receiving all things with thankfulness). To be at peace in troubled times comes through understanding, and, the understanding that one does not understand all things.

If that doesn’t make sense, all you have to do is pretend you’re a child who doesn’t understand adult things, but you trust your parents that they are doing the right thing. Everyone has experienced that, and, we all love a child who doesn’t complain, moan, groan and bitch when things don’t go the child’s way, and we call that child mature in accepting the nature of a thing it doesn’t understand but has no choice but to accept.

BE LIKE A LITTLE CHILD....accept and be thankful for the reality that is that cannot be changed and you too can walk in the peace that passes all understanding, even in the extreme troubled times ahead. nem
