Thanks to YouTuber THREEDOGNIGHTVEVO, and to 'Tuber Al Gardner who commented: "OMG! I was on the crew who shot this video!! This was for the Hy Lit TV show, a local Philly Bandstand-like hit show (1965-70) that for a while was syndicated to others towns like Boston and Cleveland. We actually used that little toy, seen inside the bass drum here, to balance the colors. Remember this one well, though we shot many big acts in the day. Whoever posted..thank you!!!!"

From about 1969, here are Three Dog Night with their cover of Otis Redding's hit version of "Try a Little Tenderness", written by Jimmy Campbell, Reg Connelly and Harry M. Woods, and recorded initially on December 8, 1932 by the Ray Noble Orchestra (with vocals by Val Rosing) followed by both Ruth Etting and Bing Crosby in 1933. This was the closing track on the group's 1968 self-titled debut album.
