According to the view counter on his 2012 'breakthrough' music video, "Gangnam Style", Korean pop star Psy has broken the billion hits mark twice over. As of February 11, his goofy song-and-dance routine now has an astounding 2,238,379,660 hits or views.

Psy is the musical nickname of Park Jae Sang ( or Jae-sang ), who has recorded six albums, and Gangnam is a posh district in the city of Seoul. After his hit song topped one billion hits, the tech folks at You Tube had to upgrade certain features of their site to accommodate the singer's success.

And 2012 was a fabulous year for Psy, as he embarked on an international tour with many interviews and much publicity.

In essence, Gangnam Style is just a way of saying "living the good life". Psy is now thirty-seven years old. He attended Boston University for a short time and then later served about two years -- not without controversy -- in the army of South Korea, and is the son of a very well-regarded South Korean industrialist.
