I had posted the article below before the hacking deletion on the hit and run killing of little 6 yr. old John Paul Raidy where a teacher had simply opted to drive off after dumping the little boy off of her bumper. John Paul Raidy was struck and killed in a crosswalk in January 2013

In the news lately are the 8 and 10 year consecutive sentences the teacher, Tammy Lowe, received as penalty for the crime. I guess she will be out after a 'nickel', eh? She'll be eligible for parole in about 4 years.

Adorable little John Paul, his whole life ahead of him - gone. Do you see what an unnatural setting a city lifestlye is? Sooner or later a Mack Truck or something will likely come in contact with you in an unexpected way. You simply cannot depend on all of today's motorists to be attentive or reliable as they zip along, texting and talking. After all, it's only your life as a pedestrian, not theirs.

It only takes a second or two, folks .... you look away at your phone and that little kid runs out there chasing his ball or kite or tricycle, etc., right in your path! You won't be able to stop in time, looking at the phone!

Don't let John Paul Raidy's death be in vain. Be careful!
