The word idiot is very interesting. It is so interesting that the same word with the exact spelling is used in French and English languages. The French and the English cultures are always in competition and don’t agree about many things but they do agree on the word idiot and have no problems sharing it without any animosity. Do they mean the same thing when they use the word idiot or have different intentions to describe a certain behavior that is not envied by the human faculty?. Myself being alien to both languages try to figure out what the French and the English minds mean by using the idiot word. I look up the dictionaries and find a bunch of synonyms that are equivalent the the word idiot but could never figure out what the real meaning of the word unless I know the person saying it. And if that person does not know what s/he is talking about, we are submerged in a sea of languages that only make life more complex and very challenging to navigate. Surfing silently is the best method to avoid clashes and splashes of the waves that are continuously hammering the walls of the minds.
Is it a coincidence that the word tom means word from right to left or mot in french!
