Felt the trembling in my feet as I was sitting at my desk on the 2nd floor, and felt it through my chair.

If you view the earthquake maps below, you will note that the epicenter was centered in an Indian reservation and was located north of Coulee Dam and northeast of the small town of Chelan.

What caught my eye about Chelan is that a firefighter from this very city who has been battling the Wolverine fire reported to his father-in-law that he and his Forest Service crew were being prohibited from doing their job in saving building structures from potential damage by the presence of Russian soldiers dressed in US Army uniforms. The father-in-law shared the information with Dave Hodges, who posted the report on his Common Sense Show blog on Aug. 31.
