(Kaepernick had something clearly in mind when he knelt, and he was able to elucidate it to some degree with early interviews. But then it became muddy, as others also knelt, expressing a solidarity of a sort but not necessarily with the same exact idea and intent - which left it open to a variety of interpretations. Because of that, it needs to stop, and some other way of expressing the chief points needs to be found.)

This is BS. The kneeling protest was never about the flag or the military I am a viet nam era vet). It happens that it is the only time they can make their presence felt/seen. It is about inequality of blacks. Kneeling during the so-called anthem (a war anthem that the DOD pays multi-millions to various sports to present before sporting events) is mind control. Our anthem should be America the Beautiful.
