She was sometimes billed as a B movie star, but Allison Hayes did extensive film and tv work, and, through her own investigations of her allegedly poisoned prescription she enabled us to have a safer, healthier life. Her investigations, subsequent court actions and recommendations to government caused the FDA compliance programs to require more certification of substances put into supplements sold to the public.

Having taken the lead loaded calcium supplement her doctor had prescribed her for years Allison finally became crippled and her aubren colored hair turned black and fell out. She had to dig into medical books to learn that her symptoms were those of heavy metal poisoned patients, but by that time she must have been thoroughly poisoned. Unable to work, her last years were spent in great pain. For the radically shortened life she gained relatively little in compensation or publicity. Such may often be the case involving suffering and death due to negligence of medical 'experts' and doctors. Instead of doing more toxicology work-ups on her it appears that the the medical 'experts' simply passed her around to various x-ray sessions, further exposing her to harmful radiation and repeatedly extracting more of her money.

It seems fitting that these excellent film-stars who entertained us for decades, who did so much work, should not be forgotten.

: Allison passed in 1977 due to cancer at 47 years of age after
