Plot synopsis per IMDB http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0014341/ A man returns to his Appalachian homestead. On the trip, he falls for a young woman. The only problem is her family has vowed to kill every member of his family.
While certainly not as well-known or popular as "THE GENERAL," this silent film, which was partially adapted from the Hatfield and McCoy feud, included numerous sequences shot in the Truckee area of California that showed Keaton using his physical skills to escape out of the raging river in order to save his love-interest who was portrayed by his real-life wife the time, Natalie Talmadge. The film is especially noteworthy for being a "family affair," with minor parts played by his father, Joe Keaton, and his infant son, Buster Keaton, Jr. The film was also produced by his brother-in-law at the time, Joseph M. Schenck. Notable cast members included a very young Francis X. Bushman, and Joe Roberts, a heavyset 6"3" actor featured in 16 of Keaton's short films who would die from stroke complications shortly after making this movie.
