Maybe the wasps that are swarming my porch did not like my last post. A swarm of wasps, some very large - maybe queens, immediately swarm the porch and storm door as soon as I approach it to go out. It would be likely that anyone trying to get past that many of them would get stung quite a few times because the wasps are angry enough to hit on the door glass trying to get past it to the inside. The video of these wasps I had tried to upload is not prepared yet. No nests anywhere to be seen.

This kind of event happened on the other side of the house a few years back with bees instead of wasps. When I tried to go around to the other side window they followed around and tried to break through that window, also, and began hitting on it, too.

Check your window and door screens and add appropriate screen hooks above and below the center handle latch to ensure that the door edge is tight at top and bottom. In the event a sudden swarm of bees or wasps or hornets suddenly show up it is a good idea to have a shelter handy. If you are planning a camping trip or other outdoor event it might be a good idea to provide some kind of temporary portable shelter for protection from unexpected swarms.

Since wasps and bees drag their stingers through all kinds of crud, mud and sewage, their stings are something that are best avoided, kind of like a real dirty vaccination, etc..
