The yacht Serene Prince Mohammed bin Salman

Saudi Prince Mohammed bin Salman (31), Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence of the youngest in the world, bought a mega-yacht of Russian tycoon Yuri Scheffler 500 million, writes The Independent.

Luxury yacht was completed in 2011 and the debt is even 134 meters, a Saudi prince reportedly bought it last year during the holiday on the Cote d'Azur. In a happier time for Saudi Arabia, where lower oil prices so do not affect the economy, it probably would not be a problem for many subjects, but now this is not the case.

In fact, Prince Mohammed bin Salman, who is considered the most powerful person in the country after the king Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, led the fierce austerity measures during which government spending is slashed by as much as 71 percent, and salaries of Ministers by 20 percent. In this CONTEXT his shopping at the Cote d'Azur at least seems very hypocritical, if not openly scandalous.

As for the buying yachts it is the prince allegedly arranged for a few hours, and the former owner of Scheffler from it "moved" the same day when purchased.
