There are many movies and tv productions which depict shootings where a shooter uses an object like a pillow to muffle and/or hide, disguise a gun blast. Such devices aid in downgrading the level of gunshot report, often resulting in a very muffled resulting noise instead of a loud gunshot. These 'splatter-guards' when positioned close to the victim of the gunshot also reduce or eliminate most of the usual amount of back-splatter of blood and/or tissue from the resulting gunshot wound, aiding in protecting the shooter's identity, etc..

In the JFK Assassination it appears that Jackie Kennedy removed some kind of light colored cloth or object from the left side of JFK's head immediately after the headshots struck President Kennedy. For many years these frames must have seemed obscured, but are now here in fairly clear vivid color in one of the clearest versions of the Zapruder Film. The object(s) removed are there before or as the gunshots occur. The only way a person could conceal shooting someone in full public view is if the weapon were covered, as with a handkerchief, or splatter-guard of some kind. What did Jackie remove from the dying president's head-shoulder area.

Some biographical data suggests that Jackie had signed or agreed to a pre-nuptial agreement or contract to be JFK's wife for a large amount of money. The question now looms up as to whether someone offered her a more lucrative 'contract'.
