In the past when I have pointed out the corruption and various other issues, I have been told by the patriotic types, that "if you don't like the way things are then you should leave the country!"

So, for the few who whine and cry about guns and the 2nd amendment, where is the response?

I doubt there is anyone still alive since the founding of this country, who is bitching about guns or the 2nd amendment. Therefore, if we are going to play by the established rules, the basis of which includes the 2nd amendment, why should everyone else have to change to suit the desires of a few, when those few can leave, and go to another country that already has eliminated guns?

The reason so many people leave their home country, to come to the USA, is for the freedom and lesser restrictions. At least that WAS why they came here. If people want to live in a place without guns, they should go find such a place.

A George Washington University professor suffering from the liberal disease hoplophobia—the irrational and paranoid fear of guns—is calling for total disarmament in the United States.

“Given that even micro gun control measures will be effectively blocked by the NRA and its allies, and that promoting mini measures as potentially effective is misleading, progressives may as well go for the big enchilada: Call for domestic disarmament,” writes Amitai Etzioni, a professor of international relations.

Etzioni, writing for the Huffington Post, suggests electing a president who will stack the Supreme Court and attack the Second Amendment.

He would also have Congress pass legislation making gun manufacturers “liable for harm done with their products” and outlaw the sale of ammunition.

If the current political climate is any indication, this will not happen.

The professor does not detail how more than 300 million firearms in the United States would be confiscated. He also does not address the fact forced disarmament will lead to the death of police and otherwise law-abiding citizens.

Following San Bernadino The New York Times called for the implementation of laws that “would require Americans who own [weapons that scare the dickens out of hoplophobics] to give them up for the good of their fellow citizens.”

Millions of Americans—afraid of brutal SWAT teams and trigger-happy psychopaths who love violence sanctioned by the state—will turn in their weapons for fear of endangering themselves and their families.

Hundreds of thousands, possibly a few million others will not turn in their firearms.
