I remember watching this when it first aired.

I was an unwilling participant of Thatcher's Britain, they were difficult years. Part of all of that was a time when the cold war was threatening to turn hot and ads appeared as regularly on TV, as did leaflets through the door.

All telling of what to do in the event of an atomic blast.

The hype to this movie was ramped up everywhere in the media, with the nation glued to it upon its screening.

They were never the same after.

It's since been named as perhaps one the most realistic drama's depicting a nuclear war.
